Battle Arena

"Work your way up the rankings, and win Arena Coins and Jewels!" - Kokkoro, on the Battle Arena

A player fights against another player's team in the Battle Arena.

Overview

The Battle Arena is the first Player vs. Player (PvP) gameplay mode available to players in Priconne. Players fight against other player's Arena Defense Teams in order to literally swap their ranking and increase their Arena Ranking. As players increase their rank, they will earn a multitude of Free Jewels and increase their Battle Arena Coin generation. Battle Arena Coins are used in the Battle Arena Shop to purchase exclusive Character Shards and Equipment Pieces.

A decent amount of knowledge and strategy is needed for players to successfully climb in the Battle Arena. Using a certain character, party, and good ol' RNG can drastically affect the tide of battle. Knowing which characters your particular Arena team can counter (and more importantly, which they cannot) will be important as you climb up the ranks.

Opponent Selection

The Battle Arena is the first Player vs. Player (PvP) gameplay mode available to players in Priconne. A decent amount of preparation and strategy is required as players progress in the Battle Arena. Certain characters, party compositions, and good ol' RNG can drastically affect how a battle ends. Knowing which parties or characters your particular Arena team can counter (and somewhat more important, which they cannot) will be important as you climb up the ranks.

While some characters are widely used in the Arena, players will have access to a wide variety of opponents to face!

Your Defense Team

While players attack others to increase their arena rank, it is important to remember that the same thing is happening to them. Players are able to set an "Arena Defense Team," which will be the team that appears to others when they are available as an opponent. As rank is swapped whenever a player wins or is defeated by another attacking player, it is important to make sure your Arena Defense Team is strong enough to repel an attack. There are a few basic things to keep in mind when it comes to defending against a player:

  1. If a battle times out, the attacking player is considered the loser. This means using a very tanky or stalling team is a viable strategy for an Arena Defense Team as the burden is then on the attacking team to do enough damage (i.e. you are a DPS check).

  2. Priconne does not seemingly grant a bonus to the attacking team and battles are set to Auto, so there is very little room for player intervention. This means that teams with specific strategies (e.g. a TP nuke) can still work even when on the defending side of the battle

When a player's Arena Defense Team successfully defends against an attack, the defending player is rewarded with 10 Battle Arena Coins. These Coins are sent to the defender's Presents Box and Defense Rewards are available 5 times per day. A popup window will appear on the Battle Arena screen if the Defense Team successfully defended an attack.

Rewards

As players increase their rank, they will also increase the amount of Battle Arena Coins they generate per hour. Their current rate is displayed on the main Battle Arena screen and is shown as "Battle Arena Coins per Hour." However, Coins are actually generated every few minutes based on this rate, which means being defeated and going down in rank will impact Coin generation in relatively real-time. Coins can be claimed using the "Receive" button and are not lost if the player is defeated or slow to claim.

Battle Arena Coins are used to purchase Character Memory Shards and Equipment Pieces in the Battle Arena Shop. Character Memory Shards in this shop are limited to the Battle Arena Shop (and Divine Amulet Shop if the character was already pulled from the Gacha), which makes participating in the Battle Arena important for players wanting to recruit these characters or increase their Ascension Level.

A set of 5 Character Memory Shards costs 800 Battle Arena Coins. Maintaining a rate of  34/h will allow players to purchase one set per day, not accounting for any extra Coins from successful defenses or extra shop refreshes (costs 10 Arena Coins).
